Skill “G” Nigeria Limited is a leading company in the promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, as well as technical and vocational education in Nigeria and beyond.
STEM education in Nigeria: As Children’s Day draws near in Nigeria, we not only celebrate our kids—we honour the boundless promise they hold for the nation’s future. At the heart of that promise lies education—especially in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), the driving forces of tomorrow’s economy.
Yet for many children, particularly those in underserved communities, access to quality STEM education remains out of reach.
That’s where Skill “G” Nigeria Limited steps in. Through our No Child Left Behind Initiative, we are dismantling barriers and expanding opportunity—ensuring that every Nigerian child, regardless of circumstance, is equipped to thrive in a rapidly evolving, technology-driven world.
The Challenge: Why STEM Education Matters in Nigeria
Nigeria’s future depends on a generation equipped with 21st-century skills. However, many schools face:
Low interest in STEM subjects due to outdated teaching methods
Without intervention, millions of children risk being left behind in a world where technology and innovation dominate.
Skill “G”’s Solution: No Child Left Behind Initiative
For over 30 years, Skill “G” has been at the forefront of STEM education reform in Nigeria. Our No Child Left Behind Initiative focuses on:
1. Providing Hands-On STEM Kits to Schools
We have equipped over 5,000 primary schools and 6,500 secondary schools with interactive science and technology kits.
These kits make learning fun, practical, and engaging, sparking curiosity in young minds.
2. Teacher Training & Capacity Building
A well-trained teacher impacts thousands of students over their career. We have trained over 15,000 teachers and instructors to deliver modern, student-centred STEM lessons.
3. Reaching Underserved Communities
Many Nigerian children in rural and low-income areas lack access to quality education. Our initiative targets public schools, orphanages, and community learning centres, ensuring no child is excluded.
4. Establishing Skill Acquisition Centers
Beyond formal education, we run 9 skill acquisition centers across Nigeria. These centres provide vocational training in engineering, agriculture, and maritime studies, preparing youth for future careers.
